Garage Conversion and Extension - Brandesbury Square, Repton Park IG8

Single storey rear extension and conversion of garage into a study, to this large house on the Repton Park private estate, within the conservation area. Unlike many others, we actually enjoy working on projects such as this within conservation areas and private estates, despite the infamous levels of additional planning scrutiny and red tape involved. We have extensive experience of these processes and their requirements, and as a result seem to have become the consultants of choice in many of these areas, for which we are very grateful. No other property in the area had carried out these works before, so our proposed scheme was very much looking to set a precedent for the area, which can often make gaining permissions doubly difficult. There were also some very tight dimensional limitations to the extension, which made careful design essential in order to achieve a suitable internal space and headroom. We obtained all required permissions, including planning permission and local Repton Park estate permissions, quickly and smoothly, and also provided building regulations plans and party wall agreements. We also put Vivek in touch with one of our brilliant builders, who then carried out all of the building work. Vivek was over the moon when we not only achieved an extension with a huge lantern rooflight, which unified the previously incongruous internal spaces and linked perfectly with the rear garden, but we also managed to convert his garage into a study, which he had been advised previously would be impossible. We look forward to our next project in the Repton Park estate.
